TASSIE GETS THE NOD FROM THE NY TIMES

FAMILY MOTORHOMING • Malcolm looks at the options for families who prefer to travel in a motorhome.

POWERING YOUR CAR FRIDGE: PART TWO • David continues last month's article on powering a second fridge, which will alternate between the van and the tow vehicle — depending upon the trip.

STEERING TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE • The caravan industry's role in Australia's electric vehicle transition

CARAVAN SAFETY 101 • Caravan safety is a prime concern for us at Caravan World. With ever increasing numbers of new caravanners on the road, here are our 10 tips for a safer drive.

TOO MUCH STUFF

TRAVEL HAPPY • We shine the spotlight on caravanners, their rigs and their travel tales

THAT FRESH PARK FEELING • With Easter around the corner and a year of adventures to plan, many of us are considering where our next holiday destination will be. To make the choice easy, we've located some brand new and refurbished parks that offer lux experiences and beautiful surrounding areas to explore.

TONKA TOUGH • Great Aussie Caravans have borrowed the Tonka name from the iconic indestructible toy trucks that kids love to play with in the dirt. It's a fair call because this van has plenty of offroad cred and bears some features inspired by rugged Aussie utes. The Tonka is not all about utility though, it has by far the nicest bathroom I have seen to date.

RATINGS

A BAY OF DELIGHTS • Julia D'Orazio discovers there's much more to Coral Bay than its main beach.

CUSTOM CRUISING • Founded in 2018 by Rhys Conti, CRZRVAN challenges the norms of caravan construction and has become well- known for its custom, holistically built vans that are unique in more than just their appearance.

A PREMEIER POWERHOUSE • With many of the same features as its award-winning Spinifex sibling — the Electrex Premier — the Nomadix Premier stands out with an equal quality of engineering, fit and finish and no-compromise attitude required to make one of Australia's best offroad caravans.

SPINIFEX NOMADIX PREMIER 20.6

BEST OF BARRINGTON TOPS • There's plenty to see and do in Barrington Tops …

FAST FACTS

TOUGH DOG SUSPENSION • Over the past 35 years, Tough Dog 4WD Suspension has been developing specific suspension systems dedicated to the 4WD wagon and ute market, but Ian Bellert reports it has recently been developing suspension systems for those towing camper trailers and caravans.

CERTIFIED TO TOW • Two of Caravan World's editors, Allison Watt and Amelia Mansell, completed a certified towing course with Melbourne company METEC to build their skills, confidence and promote the importance of towing safety.

THE WORD HAS PASSED AROUND • Since it began production in 2015 Snowy River Caravans has grown into a major company with its hybrid import/manufacturing process.
